Lysimeter Recovery:

Time-series Photographs

Approximately once a month since the Williams fire, each of the three most studied lysimeters (pine, oak, and chamise) have been intensively photographed.  The intent is to visually document changes that occur during recovery from the fire.  About 30 oblique-angle photos are needed to completely survey one lysimeter.  The pattern followed is the same each time, and the area covered in each photo is similar each time.  There is some variation due to photos being taken at slightly different distances and angles, and with different amounts of overlap, from one sequence to the next.

Following are representative series for each lysimeter.
